Our Statement of Philosophy

At Life Early Learning Centre, we base our foundation on Christian faith which is an integral part of who we are and why we chose to do what we do.  We believe this equips and empowers not only the children in our care but families also.  We have four Core Values which guide us in everything we do: Acceptance, Christlikeness, Excellence and Honour.  These Core Values, we believe, need to be reflected in our everyday practices therefore we will continually provide a safe place for all children where they will always feel encouraged and be encouraged to show kindness, generosity and respect towards others while being motivated to be the best they can be.

We believe that all children are unique and loved by Christ.  We strive to ensure that as they explore their environment, and begin their learning journey, that their environment will reflect and promote a place that is safe and warm whilst aesthetically pleasing to promote creativity and exploration.  We will always aim for our environment to be fully-inclusive to promote play-based learning and exploration ensuring that we create an environment which is reflective of all cultures.  We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land and recognise the valuable role we, as Educators, play in helping young children learn about the history of Indigenous Australia.

In order to facilitate holistic children’s learning, it is our aim to promote and collaborate with children, families, the community and all staff.  Families are respected for the position they play in their children’s life which is why we believe in a supported partnership with all families.  We recognise culture and encourage families to share knowledge and welcome them to contribute to the full learning experience of all children.  We strive to always provide an authentic and diverse environment.

Our Educators are highly-qualified and enthusiastic in ensuring each child’s learning experience is nurtured and fun. They are focused and reflective, ensuring creative programs are developed and implemented under the guidance principles of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework which is used Australia wide. This framework views children as ‘belonging’, ‘being’ and ‘becoming’.

Programs consist of both planned and spontaneous experiences.  We will strive to ensure that each child has the best opportunity to become a capable learner at their own level and understanding, and ensure that experiences are put into place to continually challenge while providing supportive Educators to build on their knowledge and understanding of their environment.  We will encourage all children to “have a say” in their day-to-day experiences, encouraging spontaneous play to enhance learning experiences.  Connections are encouraged with others as they interact through positive play experiences.

We have passion to be an advocate for play and know it is an integral part in the development of children in their early years.  We are committed to creating a positive, safe, loving and challenging environment ensuring that all children develop to their full potential and gain understanding of their world.
